Tits Ahoy: "Governor Scott! Thanks for the Follow Back!'

Basic reporter's move is to consult the public record. Twitter is a public record for our Florida Officials, who they follow, who follows them and so on.

The image left is a composite, scanned image used for illustrative purposes. We will show you the actual "screen capture" of the governor's list of people HE IS FOLLOWING, with number 25, as of 2/11/2012, at 9:30 a.m., that being "Tits Ahoy" @LittleStripper, with the tag line "I am just a pole dancer tryin (sic) to get paid b all those ass grabbers thats(sic) tryin to get laid!"

Of course the governor's "Rick Scott" @FLGovScott tagline reads "My goal is to turn our economy around and get Florida back to work!"

Perhaps it is not surprising both taglines reference jobs or money, either directly or indirectly.

Here is the scroll page of Governor Scott's twitter feed "People @FlGovScott is following"

There she is, if indeed she exists. If she isn't just a set up.

Let's admit this effort, Rick Scott Watch, located here, on Twitter @RickScott_Watch, on Facebook, either by selecting on the right, or at this link has an agenda. That being, to prevent  Rick Scott from using this state as some sort of Ayn Rand dumping ground of  "corporate communism", as Dylan Ratigan calls it. This effort seeks to protect state parks from rampant, willy-nilly closings and sell offs. It seeks to shield teachers from the attacks of Governor Scott and his "informal education advisor" Michelle Rhee.  All of these good things and more. It seeks to protect my state, Florida, from an outsider whose only obvious aim is furthering his political career.

That said, there's no reason we can't have a bit of fun along the way. This part, it turned out, was the fun.

Obviously Governor Scott's people - whoever his Twitter Csar is, and supervisor - are asleep at the switch. You see the governor has over 8,000 followers. He has nearly as many people as he is following back. @LittleStripper, or someone who self-applied the name "Tits Ahoy," followed the account, and one of the governor's rumored 91 staff members, followed her directly back.

This transaction was fairly recent: it might have come while the governor was attempting to fire a hundred corrections officers at a time, or when Michelle Rhee was lambasting Florida's education system, now ranked 5 out of 50, nationwide as woefully inadequate. Picture someone eating Cheetos, mindlessly mashing on the mouse, 'following back', at a desk somewhere in Tallahassee, as the governor was at a podium discussing fiscal responsibility. Good times.

SUNSHINE LAW. This brings up a point he might not be aware of. Everything he does, writes, tweets, facebooks, or is done in his name, is now part of the public record. That's the way it works down here, y'all. If its done under the Seal of the Great State of Florida, or in the advancement of its business, we can look at it. You, me, everybody.

As a former CEO of Columbia Health Care, he didn't have to submit to Florida's Government in the Sunshine Law, at least not every waking moment. But now he does.

When he gets on his private plane, he might be saving you a bit of money, Florida, but you still have a right to know what is being said or done at 30,000 feet, either with contractors, or with other government officials. He's likely not aware of that. He will likely run into more than a few dust ups with regard to this. As he did during his depositions related to the health car fraud case, he might even say he was blissfully "unaware" we had such a thing. Sunshine Law?

You be sure to remind him. I know I will.

Meantime, feel free to spool through all his followers, and all the folks he's following. I am finding it highly entertaining.

I am counting down, tho' to see when @LittleStripper is removed.
