Rachel Maddow's tiny window of fake truth

Watching Maddow last night was instructive. In her hour long show, she had 41 minutes of content to roughly 17 minutes of advertising. Three of those ads were dedicated to promoting herself, once, and MSNBC twice.
That's right, promotions for her own show, and the network I WAS ALREADY WATCHING!
By the way, the ratio of advertising to content by these numbers is 41 percent. Approaching half!
To her credit she did the first 19 minutes straight through on the republican war on women; on their uterii, on their lives, their jobs, their vaginas, on abortion rights, the whole shebang.
Who isn't behind women in this regard? Who doesn't want to see the war waged on women, stop?! No one in their right mind.
Big Machine - that's the oil companies, the car companies, the companies that make rockets and bombs - they don't mind if there's a few rabid congressmen attacking women. Nor do they mind if women are protesting this to their heart's content. They love it, in fact. Because while women who are the most active democrats, are stirred up about all this, they aren't doing what? Thinking about on-going war, that's what. Like they did in the 1960s.
Women, by in large, are the ones who have to send their babies off to war. Women are the ones who have to stay home protecting the family.
Women in 1960s, made up the heart of the peace movement; which used to be what the democratic party was all about.
Not any longer.
Big Machine doing its job; that's all that is.
Of Rachel's ads, it was funny, three were oil companies. It is truly weird to watch - and maybe you didn't notice - as Rachel lambastes Exxon, as being one of the evil companies pushing through their incentives by purchasing our government a handful of minutes after the oil giant  touts its record in supporting teachers.
We got two Chevron commercials during St. Rachel's schtick. My favorite is their "We Agree" pitch. Man on the left looks like a wookie. What is he? He's a "concerned scientist" straight out of central casting. I can't remember the guy on the right, someone who was also "concerned". And, in the end, they both agreed, that Chevron was way cool. Fade out to music.
Thirty two ads, I counted for her show. Thirty-two! One of my favorites is the guy from Mad Men, John Slatterly. who plays Roger Sterling. He's also way cool.
What you don't understand yet is Rachel is the flame and all of you are the moths. Rachel offers tidbits of the truth and you are drawn to that, because you've been so abused even a shred of it, a whiff and you'll come running. You'll gather at St. Rachel's fire. But you only get glimpses. Then your eyes and ears are crammed with lies rendered in that comfortable corporate package, nullifying and trivializing you to that truth.
Rachel then becomes like the money launderer for the drug trade. She offers a vetting of the atrocities which are quickly trivialized by the comfortable ads that you love.
Look at John Slatterly. He's calm, cool, collected behind the wheel of that Lincoln, so, things here in America must be pretty good. Okey dokey.
You don't notice that even the protests St. Rachel gives air to, in her 19 minute schpeil, all the protest signs are prepackaged, all the T-shirts likely made in sweat shops in Malaysia.
Hence, the entire thing, from legislative atrocity to contained and corralled outrage was prepackaged, ready to go. She's not going to mention this, no sir, no ma'am.
What is happening to us, this miserable back and forth, has been in the planning for years. There are outrages and t-shirts protesting it, in the can, as they say in Hollywood, well into the future.
Somewhere, someone has come up with another way to seriously piss you off and take away your rights - which they will surely do, don't get me wrong. And your t-shirt that you will wear long after it is too late to do anything about it, sits quietly in a warehouse somewhere along with your bumper sticker.
Around and around we go.
St. Rachel will be there too. She's as much a part of the problem as big oil is.
How do I know?
Because the one thing she could talk about, she could investigate that would stop all this - the corruption of our elections by electronic machines run by a handful of corporate monsters - she won't talk about!
She doesn't dare. She likes your adulation, you moth. She likes her fat cat salary. She likes the limelight. She likes to boogie on the disco.
Round and round we go.
Hey, your t-shirt is ready.

Pam Bondi to be chosen as Romney's VP?

This really is a no-brainer. More than likely The Romnoid will choose Florida's Attorney General Pam Bondi as his running mate.

"Pammy-cakes," "Attorney General Barbie", "Pam B(l)ondie" - the name calling from the left has not been very nice. (Guilty as charged, your honor!)

However you slice it, she's the natural choice. Mitt Romney likes her. AND she's slightly smarter than Sarah Palin! AND she's down with the whole "it's okay for far right wing Christians to break the rules as long as it means killing abortion and Obamacare" thing. AND, in the minds of republican strategists, she's the perfect way to capture the Florida vote- those 29 electorals - while scooping up some female support. AND she's not a bad looking woman until she starts slathering praise on Romney. Then you have, a hard, time, focusing, on what she's saying, and, you really, just want to, run out of the room.

One thing we can see here, is, she reads from a script real good!

She is the first Florida attorney general to sport a belly shirt and hip huggers. See here if you dare.

Other B(l)ondi facts for her selection:

1. As far as we can tell the perennial legally blonde consultant of choice on FAUX News IS Pam Bondi. She has appeared on FOX dozens of times. FOX-bound seniors, a key demo that helped Palin, simply adore her. She's also sat in with Joe Scarborough, much to his name dropping pleasure.

2. The NRA loves her as evidence by a doctored photo by New-Times Broward County.

3. She also has the dog demographic sewn up. She would never, ever, never make this gigantic dog (below) ride on the roof.

Bio: Born 1965, From Temple Terrace, Florida. Tampa, Hillsborough County (There's that word again!). Alma Mater UF and Stetson Law.

The only downside is, she benefited from the same corrupted vote that ushered Rick Scott into the governor's mansion. When we asked her to look into it, she sloughed it off, which is very unethical. We mean to say so in the coming weeks, after the announcement is made.

AND she is an extension of every single one of Rick Scott's policies. AND, her stance on women's issues is a liability. AND she fired two foreclosure investigators for doing their job in going after robosigning banks and instead asked her office to focus more on prosecuting the poor saps exploiting the protracted process of foreclosure in order to make their next move.

We can't have people making lemonade out of lemons in all this, after all. It's about helping realtors, banks, and title companies. It's about helping the market find a bottom. Not looking out for the citizens.

Get with the program folks, this is what the corporate Dark Ages are all about.

Daddy Complex Much?
AND she (in)explicably turned her attention away from her duties as Florida's top cop to cover Ricky's unethical backside like a Gal Friday, doing disservice to women AND her hard won JD. In one case she worked furiously to stop testimony from Ed Bruss, fired former prisons chief. He had done the sin of discovering that privatizing 30 Florida prisons wouldn't represent any cost savings and more than likely would result in massive losses when one took the time to factor in all the pension pay-outs which, apparently, no one had.

But, no matter. She's it. Let's all face it and deal with it. Mitt Romney even mentioned her in one of his gaffe-filled speeches about her hard nosed approach when it comes to going after foreclosure deadbeats. He just said "Pam Bondi". He didn't say "Florida's attorney general, Pam Bondi". No, he's on familiar with Pam, which is how middle-aged white men get all swoonie around her, (somewhere between lust and a father complex )

Republican women love her too. And Romney needs women now, any demographic. He needs grandmotherly types who all seem to want to mother Pammy Cakes through the television set, like the devout shoving babies into the boob tube for an evangelical's remote-blessing.

She's it. The only way to go, at this point.

It only remains to be seen whether her Sticky-Ricky connection proves to be too much for republican nation to stomach.

Our Response to Hillsborough County

To Hillsborough County Government;

" the law does not require a public agency to answer general questions. "
It is truly amazing that the contortions and convolutions of corrupted
government are such that this sentence, appeared in the following
response (see below from yourselves to me) to a member of the public
seeking answers about the office of Supervisor of Elections.
Specifically, what happened during the election of Nov. 2, 2010?

You apparently care not a wit for your own county policy on ethics
which prohibits you from with-holding information from the public.
Because here you openly admit that this is precisely what you are
doing. Astonishing.

As someone who has been petitioning your county government for answers
since July concerning the events of the general election, I want to
tell you something about myself. (We should get to know each other at
this point) I am a former newspaper reporter of some experience. I am
a former school teacher as well. I also served as a member of the
United States Peace Corps in Honduras from 1988 to 1990. And I know a
sham government when I see one.

I am well versed in dealing with lying children, lying public
officials, and lying government agencies.

Honduras was perhaps most corrupt, as far as bending the truth. Lying,
bribery, payoffs and the like were the order of business. The charming
aspect, one could say, was the pretense of the official lie, on the
surface, as bribery and so on was afoot, beneath.

In Hillsborough County I have discovered a new dimension, that sadly,
exceeds even Honduras, the second poorest republic in the hemisphere
after Haiti. Hillsborough exceeds it, in my mind, in aspects related
to official corruption. Because distinguishing itself ahead of
Honduras, in Hillsborough County, there is no more charming pretense
to that corruption. The bandage of the charming lie has been ripped
off revealing naked recalcitrance, intransigence, obstinate, hardened
refusal to do that which is legal, ethical, and straightforward.

"We follow no rules here," your response says to me. "We exist as a
government for our own purposes, our own nation, our own state feeding
on and off the public; certainly not for the purpose of serving the
public. No. The public may petition us when we obviously are in the
wrong, but we reserve the right to continue to do wrong, and offer no
explanation. We are nakedly wrong, proudly, brazenly corrupt in
Hillsborough; and knowing you are but one citizen, we dare you to stop
us."

We might call this attitude refreshingly open(?) the way the Mafia is,
perhaps, and find smallish comfort there, were it not so dangerous
left unchecked. It is an interesting stance the entirety of your
government seemingly has chosen to adopt. One I will remark upon
liberally, with great relish and flourish, as I send out this
information to anyone who will listen.

It certainly will make good copy, good reading, good conversational
fodder for the entirety of the American public, as the Republican
National Convention approaches, and the election as well.

I have no compunction now NOT to pursue any and all legal means to
turn your county from its unabashed ways.

I should note for the record, I did NOT ask your offices, "general
questions". I asked very specific questions. I asked how one machine -
specifically the defective one - was chosen over all others. I asked
why memory cards were not tested before they were sent out to places
of early voting.I also asked for the audit logs of the OSX 499 machine
and again, I am receiving a non response despite our open records laws
in Florida. I asked several other pertinent questions.  But of course,
you are all well aware of this.

Email, on the phone, in person on county television; I have explored
all forms of communication, modern and ancient. Hillsborough County
government has explored its deafness, its opacity to sound and reason,
its blunt ignorance, both willful and lazy, its virtuosity in slow
witted, dishonest intellectual cowardice; its elation at its own
thuggish stupidity, with regard to my petitions. It's sneeringly
cynical purposefully inept responses. All of these has county
government enjoyed. It toys with citizens requests the way a cat might
with a newly caught insect. And perhaps there's a response in that.

Every action taken by the SOE with regard to my requests paints a
picture of an agency in the wrong, behaving in a way resembling
corruption, illegality and official misconduct. Every non action on
the part of the county commission bespeaks self interest, lack of
ethics, and tacit cover up. Back to your ethics statement, which you
obviously despise, you (commissioners specifically) are not given the
choice of inaction when presented with facts of official misconduct.
Your inaction, then, becomes official misconduct itself. This is in
your county's ethics statement.

The continued non answers demonstrate that, far from being the result
of mysterious Machiavellian accidents, the events of Nov. 2, 2010 were
more than likely carried out deliberately. Election rigging, cover up,
thereafter. Official recalcitrance and refusal to look into the
matter. I, thankfully, am not a law enforcement officer. I leave that
to others, or to posterity.

But I am a writer. I take a picture of what I see. In my head I
assemble the parts and then I paint. In your poor county's case, the
result is not complimentary to any of you, I fear.

It's not that all of the above "smells fishy". No. We are far beyond
that. This is the choking, stinking hold of a fishing trawler washed
up on a beach with its cargo dead three weeks and the crew, run-off.

I am not responsible for you county government behaving in every way
resembling an organized crime syndicate. It is not my fault
Hillsborough chooses to show itself in this light. I have every right
and duty as a citizen to take a picture of it, and show this to the
state, the country, the world if they will listen.

If not, best of luck to you in all your future political endeavors be
they codified by law or tacitly accepted with a wink from your
co-conspirators and a snore from the sleeping public. May a forgiving
god, such as may exist, find you without great fault. May posterity
tread lightly upon your memory, finding thoughtful pause before
rendering harsher judgment than I have here.

Sincerely, I remain at your service for any an all of these issues, in
any venue you'd like to address them in, or otherwise vouch for your
county government's flagging honor,

Attorney;'We aren't legally obligated to answer your questions'

I am responding to your questions submitted via email April 2, 2012.  While the Public Records Law requires the production of requested records, the law does not require a public agency to answer general questions.  I have identified two documents that are responsive to a few of your questions.  I previously sent you a copy of the Supervisor’s Security Procedures.  These procedures set out the processes regarding ballots and chain of custody issues.  I have set out below a link to Section 101.5612, Florida Statutes, which relate to the logic and accuracy test.   The #499 OSX machine was sent back to Dominion shortly after the election; you may want to contact Dominion for any documentation they may have regarding that machine.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE RIGGED ELECTIONS, DON’T JUST BITCH ON FACEBOOK

1. PUT THAT COFFEE DOWN! COFFEE IS FOR DOERS, NOT WHINERS! (Oh, do I have your attention now?) You call yourself an activist? YOU, that’s right, YOU have to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. Don’t wait for Rachel Maddow: she’s not going to help you on this anytime soon. YOU citizen must STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. People aren’t going to get interested in this easily. Unfortunately, people are sheep. They need the comfort of someone from MSNBC signing off on a story before they follow it before they get pumped up. And MSNBC isn’t going to follow it until they are shamed into it in a critical mass which will overcome their own intellectual cowardice. A critical mass WHICH ONLY YOU CAN CREATE WITH YOUR ACTIVISM! MSNBC’s craven yellow reluctance is bought and paid for by corporate masters GE and Comcast. CNN, FOX? Forget them too! These are corporations who are in on the ground floor, who are okay with the plan to destroy American democracy. ARE YOU SO DAMNED BLIND YOU CAN’T SEE THAT?

2. STOP HERO WORSHIPING OVERPAID, BLOATED EGO, “PROGRESSIVE” CELEBRITIES WHO DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU.  This list includes Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell, Ed Schultz, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Alan Grayson. How do we know they don’t give a damn about you? If they actually did, THEY WOULD BE ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE AND THEY’RE NOT! What was your first clue, genius? Was it how often they tried to shill their book on air while ignoring this issue? Groups of progressive democrats, independents and libertarians out there are hero-worshiping  celebrity purveyors of comodified democracyLITE thought. MY DOG challenges me more than progressive groups challenge MSNBC, or DWS or Alan Grayson. The right is correct when it comes to this  sickening phenomenon: we have a serious, nearly psychotic problem in worshipping our progressive heroes no matter how badly they continue to abuse our trust and ignore the eroding lynch-pin of democracy; the sanctity and security of the vote.

3. FIGHT AT THE LOCAL LEVEL. NOT FACEBOOK-FIGHT, DAMN YOUR EYES, FIGHT! GET MAD DAMN YOU! The fight against the voting machines at the retail level, that is to say, you and me, isn’t very complicated at all. Our county commissions – not the legislature, not Rachel Maddow, not DWS – control the purchase of these god-awful machines. And the county commissions can un-purchase them, can un-fund them, just as easily. Each person can harass the shit out of the county commission to make that happen. Frankly, just what the hell is wrong with you people? GET OUT THERE AND GET IN THEIR FACES! There is no excuse for people claiming to be about protecting democracy NOT to be down to the county commission every chance they get to lambaste them for purchasing these machines. You hit the company – and the big one is Dominion voting which inherited all the crap software and hardware from two different predecessors, both Premier Diebold and ESandS – you hit them where it hurts.  “Follow the money”, said Deep Throat. Turn off the faucet, citizens. It is your duty! Get your heads out of your asses and DAMNED WELL DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!

4. THIS THROWS A WRENCH IN ANY PLANS BREWING IN YOUR COUNTY TO RIG THE 2012 ELECTION.. It warns the supervisor of elections in your county that you are watching for the next glitch. Which, I believe I have demonstrated in Hillsborough County Florida, is where the hack, the rig, the fraud takes place. Wake up. The glitch is the new method to rig the election. Think about what happened in Hillsborough County: they just made up a reason to stuff ballots back into the scanning machines. They pulled the memory cards out of a machine too quickly to capture all the vote counting software! THERE’S NOTHING TO HACK, NO REMNANT MALICIOUS CODE. And since there was a RESCANNING not a RECOUNT, there wasn’t time for a proper media response, there wasn’t time for a citizens action group to horn in and see what’s what, like there was in Florida 13 recount in Sarasota County. So everyone needs to be down to their county commission. You owe your county commission at least one visit, per ten posts on Facebook about this subject.

5.ACTIONS OVER STATISTICS. That needs to be burned into your brain for now. Honestly I KNOW the damned elections are being rigged. I believe I just offered PROOF, and a method by which we can stop it, or at least start! “Yeah but, let me show you these numbers…”I swear I want to yank my own eyes out and feed them to my dog. You and I can sit on Facebook all damned day long exchanging our information in a circle jerk of mutual admiration. But unless we DO SOMETHING, unless we GET RIGHT IN SOME DAMNED FACES, democracy is going to continue to be stolen from us. And do you love that crap? How does it taste to know those stealing democracy from you, laugh at you and your damned FACEBOOK posts. They laugh at you, you whining baby. THEY LAUGH because they know your COWARD ASS ISN’T GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. YOU LIKE THAT SHIT? They monitor these sites. They pretend to be buying whatever you’re selling. They pretend to be on the team and all they are doing is spying on you, carrying your bitching and whining to their masters, laughing and spitting on your FACEBOOK patriotism.

6. A suggested action plan. THIS IS NOT BRAIN SURGERY. I posted my dumb ass videos using an old handicam. It was real simple. I drove to the county commission in Hillsborough and started hassling them using my three minute time segments. I held up newspaper articles, and when I finally got it their own public records I shoved those in their smug little faces too. GO AND DO LIKEWISE. I plan on hitting them again soon, when I get some money together. It is making them look bad, and they know it. Chances are you’ve got similar records in your county. You have all these links with the information all over the web. You’ve got Bev’s movie. You’ve got the videos of Florida Recount 13. The information is there now. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REACH OUT AND TAKE IT! USE IT!

7. COWARDICE IS NOT AN OPTION. Not when kids are being sent overseas to die in your name. Yes, someone's child risks a landmine today, or a car bomb, or could get shot before sundown, so that you can sit there and FACEBOOK your freedoms away? It's too uncomfortable for you to go down to the county commission? It's a little awkward to call your supervisor of elections and ask what type of machines they use? It's a little weird to find yourself talking before county commissioners, getting on county television? I have a question for you: are you an American citizen? Are you a patriot? Or are you livestock? The next time you think of an excuse preventing you from defending democracy, I want you to imagine yourself sending an email - or a FACEBOOK POST, you're good at that - EXPLAINING YOURSELF TO SOMEONE'S KID RISKING HIS LIFE for you today. Or if that doesn't work for you, the parent of a fallen soldier.

8. Don't get me wrong. If you need to post on Facebook to share information, that's great more power to you. But if you want to actually show some guts, POST YOUR ACTIONS, POST YOUR VIDEOS OF YOU DOWN TO YOUR COUNTY COMMISSION ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. Prove you are a patriot, PROVE YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO OCCUPY RIGGED ELECTIONS!

Remember Glitchborough County Florida

I am thoroughly disgusted. I come to the conclusion, in dealing with Hillsborough County, that in all likelihood malfeasance occurred through the Hillsborough Supervisor of Elections during the Nov. 2, 2010 election. This good faith conclusion comes following these months of lies, obfuscation, non-answers, as officials there run out the clock toward the destruction of the evidence from this election. Five months from now.

People operating in good faith, don't lie. They don't hide information for months on end. They don't slide away from questions. When someone challenges them they stand up immediately and explain themselves. Precisely the opposite behavior we have seen from Hillsborough County's supervisor of elections office. Matching the very stereotype of an office in the wrong, operating in a fashion that is possibly unethical, immoral and illegal. I can't help that this office meets that stereotype so well. It is time to call a bad penny, a bad penny.

No county commissioner signature?
I further believe the majority of the Hillsborough County Commission knows I am right, and are doing nothing about it because the balance of that board benefited from that particular election. Making some or all open to a state ethics charge. One indication they know the election was a farce could be seen from the fact not a one of them wanted to be a part of the canvassing board which signs off on the election certification. Not a one. No county commissioner signed the document. We have the SOE, a county judge, but no county commissioner.

However, in that the State Ethics Commission is made up of mostly republicans and several of those are governor appointees, those charges will likely go nowhere. Though I could file them, though I could suffer the legal expenses times seven for each commissioner as a lien against my home when the charges are (surprise!) ruled groundless and the legal services bill boomerangs back to me.

I am sure this will make many of you, out there in "better you than me" land, very happy. I am sure many of you reading these words will Facebook "like" that I have done this economic injury to myself in your name. And having "liked" my volunteerism in this regard, you will experience the good feeling that comes from pseudo participation we all enjoy so well on Facebook et al. (I am raising my hand here as well. I'm just as guilty.)

Having first addressed my concerns regarding this election to the State Attorney General, Pam Bondi, also a recipient of her seat in the Nov. 2, 2010, election, I was told my complaint was turned over to the Florida Department of State, Kurt Browning's office, specifically. A sidestep that smells unethical itself.

Our Secretary of State Browning, as we recall, was hired by Rick Scott following a six month "retirement." The timing of that "retirement" dovetailed perfectly with our state law prohibiting one to take both a pension and salary within a six month time from retirement to reappointment to that, or another, state position. His rehire fell just days outside that blocked window, thus allowing himself both his annual salary and his pension; a process we here call "double dipping."

Browning who orchestrated the Nov. 2, 2010 election  months before "retirement number 1" had a pension valued at greater than $400,000. Which in any episode of Matlock, could be considered motive for just about anything.

Browning made no effort that we can see to investigate this election from the time we called attention to it. Rather, Browning announced his "retirement" again on January. 11, 2012, just days after I began demanding answers from the Hillsborough County Commission. The subject of my inquiries into this election, now wafting in limbo because of "retirement number 2."

The most recent acts of obfuscation from Glitchborough's SOE come in the form of non-answers to very specific questions. It is a juvenile game that goes like this: I ask for an acorn, you give me a raspberry. When I again ask for the acorn - nice though the raspberry is - you claim you are trying to help a member of the public with their numerous and onerous requests while sending more raspberries or pears, or whatever.

OSX machine 499 blamed
Optical scan machine serial number 499 is now the root cause - the goat - in the muffed 2010 Glitchborough election. It is the reason, they say, 38,000 ballots were rescanned in the middle of the night Nov. 2, 2010, all from early voting.

I asked for the Audit Log for the OSX tabulator serial number 499 from the election. I received the general audit log for the election, yes, and the file directory, yes, but mum silence on the first request, the most crucial that one machine that caused the whole screw up.

The fact they won't provide this, nor comment on why they won't leads me to believe that perhaps there is no OSX machine serial number 499, and there never was. That the early vote was a complete sham, and "499" the number itself may well have come from the bottom of a hat; that it could just have easily been OSX machine number 321, or machine number 568.

I also asked a series of specific questions, most importantly why one machine, the defective one, was used to code all 12 memory cards all sent to these early voting places where democrats are known to vote? The closest thing I have received was a file containing general security procedures for a generic election as it would be held in Hillsborough County under normal circumstances.

March 16, I provided comment from Peg Reese, deputy operations chief, for the Hillsborough SOE taken during a phone conversation with her that day . She called me, in fact. When I asked her why the defective machine was used, why all twelve memory cards were coded on it, and why those memory cards weren't checked before they were sent out to early voting, Ms. Reese said something I didn't include in the blog post, mostly because I still held out hope there would be some open exchange of information.

She had no answer. When I questioned her about her silence, about the lack of an answer she said "we each have our roles to play". She offered something to the affect that I was playing a role as protector of the public's interest and she had her role to play as well.

Hers is to protect her office. And if that means not answering questions which get to the heart of this issue, that's precisely what she's going to do.

She continues to do so. As time winds down toward the destruction of all the evidence with regard to this election.

The next time someone tries to assure you that all is well with the machines, everything is okey-dokey, at the very least do me the honor of remembering what I have been through here.

Remember Glitchborough County Florida. Never forget. Because the longer you yourself put off your own volunteerism, in fighting the widespread use of these machines, the longer you sit there with only a string of Facebook posts to your name, and no time spent down to your own county commission trying to get them to remove these machines, you're going to see a hell of a lot more of this.

At least you will have this example to reference when you begin to wonder whether or not it is happening to you.

Governor's Nuclear Option Bill Now On His Desk

"'VOLDEMORT' has the football!"

All he has to do is sign the instrument to vote himself more power! Nearly Godlike power in Florida. Do you think he'll hesitate?

While the governor is looking at and endorsing other bills this legislative cycle, don't forget his nuclear option bill, SB 368 which has made it all the way to his desk and is awaiting his signature.

Cowardly big media have totally ignored this bill because they have other, smaller, easier fish to fry.

Thursday evening, with no one watching apart from her devotees sipping on pinot noir Maddow did a wonky piece on similar, malignant legislation already  metastasizing into the fabric of life in Michigan as we speak.

Ugly, putrid fascism taking over Michigan. Only the beginning. The news given to us late in the weekly news cycle, so we are free to further ignore it as "not my problem."

Maybe you saw it. Maybe you didn't. Maybe like many Americans these days, you simply couldn't give a shit.

In any event, here it is: what they have planned for us in Florida as well with this piece of awful known as SB 368, which went by the name SB 90 the last time they tried to ram it through like a broom handle.

Public Act 4 in Michigan is precisely like SB 368. What Rachel doesn't tell you is that Florida's case is every bit as heinous and not yet signed into law!

She never mentions this because MSNBC - likely at the behest of the corporate smother-parent - seldom gives you the news on heinous evil legislation before it takes affect, i.e. when you can actually do something about it. No, MSNBC, mostly just another paper watch-dog, likes to commiserate with the pitiful downtrodden after they've been screwed over by the corporate man.

Florida thanks you for your help MSNBC
"Awwwww, poor baby. Look how we care about you," says whiny MSNBC.

Pity being every bit as insipidly hobbling and sometimes more-so than head-on naked aggression. There's the corporate animal we know and love, sly, sneaky that way, children. Beware of him as you are sleeping.

We spoke about this law which is likely being signed now, months ago, and then even before last year.

Most glaring, most putrid and enraging is the fact that MSNBC and Maddow have purposefully turned a blind eye to Florida. And the reason is, because what happens in Florida can actually destroy this country, can blow-up the world which is what the vast corporate monster wants to do so, why would they warn us before we can do something about it. Pfft....

We also have to put MSNBC's attitude in perspective owing to their repeated schizophrenia. After all this is the same news channel that brings Mark Ruffalo on to give impassioned speeches slamming the genocidal geomining, georaping process called "fracking," between the commercials from the oil companies actually pitching fracking (fracturing shale to get to trapped natural gas) as a means to secure our energy future.

Oh and, can't forget the luxury car commercials. Nothing like a big tasty Cadillac ad with John Slatterly from Mad Men narrating, to assure us that all is well, and "forget all of the above."

Sleep through the fact that Florida and her 29 electoral votes, can actually put people in power who can KILL the entire planet. Michigan, Wisconsin, these places often aren't the deciding factor on who sits in the Oval Office.

MSNBC is creating a blind side in not mentioning Florida in the same breath, in this same story. Maddow's minions here in Florida, and they are vocal, they are very active could have used the heads-up. But they didn't get it.

No. Better to film the crowds with the signs and banners approved by the democratic party after this bill takes affect, so we get the sad faces, the weeping mothers and minorities and whomever to warm our hearts. To open them up just a bit before we sell cars to make the masses forget just as quickly.

Thanks MSNBC and thanks to you, Governor Scott for pressing forward with your plans to help a consortium highjack our country, our constitution and every last shred of freedom.

Shhh children, hush now. Go back to sleep.

Hillsborough County Not Swayed by Example of Ultimate Sacrifice

The comments we delivered yesterday, April 4, 2012. We come in around 1:02:2 (Link here). Despite honoring a young Hillsborough resident who died fighting for our liberties and freedoms in Afghanistan this year, the commissioners wouldn't lift a finger, or even discuss protecting the right to vote when asked. Instead, they immediately discussed stray cats and hockey. Unified in silent disinterest regarding the integrity of the voting rights of all citizens.

This is how America works today. Young people die protecting our freedoms overseas, while our own public officials sell those freedoms on the cheap to corporations, right out from under our noses.

MY NAME IS DAVID KEARNS,
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN 32
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN
321 PALM BAY, FLORIDA.
I'VE COME TO TALK ABOUT THE
SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS AS I
HAVE MANY TIMES BEFORE.
THIS MORNING WE HAD MENTION OF
A FALLEN SERVICE MEMBER, AND
I'D LIKE EACH OF US TO REFLECT
UPON THE FACT THAT THEY UPHOLD
AN OATH TO PROTECT AND DEFEND
THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED
STATES, AND THEY RISK MORE
THAN THEIR POLITICAL CAREERS
OR POLITICAL EXPEDIENCE, THEY
RISK THEIR LIVES, AND
SOMETIMES THEY PAY WITH THEIR
LIVES.
I KNOW YOU'RE WITH ME THIS
MORNING, I KNOW YOU HEAR ME,
AND I KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO DO
THE RIGHT THING BECAUSE WE'RE
COURAGEOUS HERE.
WE HAVE TO BE AFTER HAVING
INVOKED THE NAME OF A FALLEN
SERVICE MEMBER.
WHAT I BRING TO YOU HERE IS
THE FINAL ANSWER FROM THE
SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OFFICE
CONCERNING THE ELECTION
NOVEMBER 2nd, 2010.
THIS IS THE FINAL ANSWER FROM
DOMINION VOTING.
IT SAYS THAT THEIR MACHINE, AS
COMMISSIONER SHARPE HAD ASSURED
ME IN JANUARY, THE OSX SERIAL
NUMBER 499 WAS DEFECTIVE.
THE QUESTIONS THAT REMAIN, THIS
MACHINE CODED MEMORY CARDS,
WHICH WERE THEN SENT OUT TO
EARLY VOTING PLACES, RESULTING
IN THE RESCANNING OF 38,000
BALLOTS.
THERE'S NO ANSWER FROM THE
SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS WHY ONE
DEFECTIVE MACHINE OUT OF
SEVERAL -- AND I COUNTED FIVE
WHEN I WAS IN THAT OFFICE --
WAS CHOSEN TO CODE THESE CARDS
FOR EARLY VOTING.
WHY ALL 12 MEMORY CARDS WERE
CODED ON THAT DEFECTIVE
MACHINE, NO ANSWER.
WHY NO TEST OF THE MEMORY CARDS
PRIOR TO SENDING THEM OUT TO
EARLY VOTING, NO ANSWER.
WE HAVE A SIMILAR GLITCH
RECENTLY IN PALM BEACH COUNTY,
OKAY.
PALM BEACH COUNTY HAD A GLITCH
THAT ACTUALLY OVERTURNED THE
ELECTION RESULT FOR TWO COUNCIL
MEMBERS.
THEY HAD TO LEAVE THEIR SEATS
BECAUSE DOMINION, AGAIN, ADMITS
TO SCREWING UP.
WHY WE STILL USE THESE MACHINES
WHY WE STILL USE THESE
MACHINES, AGAIN, NO ANSWER.
I'VE ASKED YOU TO CALL THE
DIVISION OF ELECTIONS, CONTACT
THEM AS A BODY BECAUSE THEY
DON'T LISTEN TO CITIZENS
ANYMORE, THEY LISTEN TO BODIES,
THEY LISTEN TO CORPORATIONS,
OKAY.
SO I'VE ASKED YOU TO CALL THEM
AND CALL FOR AN INVESTIGATION
INTO THE ELECTION NOVEMBER 2nd,
2010.
I KNOW SOME OF YOU ACHIEVED THE
BENEFIT OF YOUR SEATS, BUT
YOU'RE COURAGEOUS, OKAY.
YOU RISK LESS THAN THAT YOUNG
MAN RISKED IN GETTING INTO A
VEHICLE AND DYING THAT DAY.
IT'S NOT ONLY THE ETHICAL THING
TO DO, IT'S YOUR OATH TO
PRESERVE, PROTECT, DEFEND THE
CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED
STATES AND THE CONSTITUTION OF
THE STATE OF FLORIDA.
IF YOU CAN'T DO THAT, YOU NEED
TO LOOK IN THE CAMERA AND
EXPLAIN WHY IN THE ANCHOR
COUNTY ALONG THE I-4 FACING
2012 WE DON'T WORRY ABOUT THIS
COMING ELECTION, FACED WITH
THIS EVIDENCE THAT THESE
MACHINES DO NOT WORK AT BEST OR
ARE BEING USED AS A PRETEXT TO
STEAL ELECTIONS.
